examing displayThe Royal Society is keen to support scientists of the future and to help us all gain the scientific understanding we need in order to make effective decisions, be active citizens and ensure the UK remains competitive and prospers.

We recognise that this learning begins in the classroom and our education programme aims to influence science policy and curriculum development and to support science teachers in delivering these important lessons.

Education policy reports

Recent reports on issues such as the role of school support staff, the reform of 14-19 education, and the assessment of 14-19 science learning. Teachers are encouraged to get involved in the development of all our projects – we welcome your input.

Events

Mainly held at the Royal Society in London, though watch out for our special lecture at the Association for Science Education Annual Meeting. Our events programme features a wide range of renowned scientists and other high-profile figures such as David Attenborough, Tim Berners-Lee, and Colin Pillinger. Some events are web streamed enabling remote access during the event and afterwards.
